Arrival Story:
See the story of how Fuzzy Monster Truck became who he is by watching his episode of "The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan" on Nat Geo WILD! Season 8 Episode 9 "Pack Leaders in Training." We met Cesar and two amazing 10 year old Dog Whisperers; Jessica and Rachel. We learned so much from them on the show, and continue to learn more everyday.

One of the most spectacular things about Monster Truck, is that he has the ability to alert migraine headaches before they happen. 

A dog's sense of smell is much more acute than in humans. Dogs smell in a way that we can't generally perceive. The reason Monster Truck knows a migraine is about to occur is because he smells the chemical changes that take place at the onset of a migraine headache. 

It sounds far fetched, but dogs can separate smells from one another to know each individual element. Where you simply smell an "apple pie," a dog will smell each individual ingredient; apples, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, flour, butter and every other ingredient distinctly. This ability is only recently being understood and researched for medical applications that may one day alert and cure many more health concerns. 

Some dogs have been trained to alert their owners to oncoming seizures and low insulin levels, while others are trained to smell cancer well before it's detected by doctors. The thing we can't get dogs to do yet, is to tell us exactly what they're smelling. If we did, then we could use that knowledge to diagnose certain hard to detect diseases much earlier. 

Fuzzy Monster Truck has even shown to alert when he senses a stranger is not well. He was once hailed a hero for helping save a man with undiagnosed pancreatitis that had erroneously been sent home by his doctor.

Show Synopsis: 

Fuzzy Monster Truck, 1-Year-Old Toy Australian Shepherd/Chihuahua Mix

Evie Ryland has always been a cat person, but when she was asked to watch four-month-old Fuzzy Monster Truck for a short time, she quickly fell in love. The fact that Monster Truck was so small appealed to Evie, and she started to take the dog everywhere. Fuzzy Monster Truck was easy to train, but Evie noticed early on that Monster Truck was very unsure about strangers. This creates a difficult situation, because he’s an adorable little dog and everyone wants to be his best friend. The feeling, it appears, is not mutual. The more people pestered him, the more he pushed back. Evie’s roommate, Richard, and Monster Truck have never warmed up to one another. Richard has a very loud personality and this may have scared the dog early on. If Richard is around, Monster Truck will either bark at him or stare him down. When he’s on the phone, the dog barks nonstop. This is obviously very frustrating, and Evie doesn’t know how to control it.
